Why the Krabi Province?

There are many reasons why to choose the Krabi Province. Here are a few but there are many more....
Firstly Krabi Town, which takes its name from the river that runs through the town, is the centre point for various destinations and a large commercial town. There are many hotels and GH, ideal for stopovers and short stays. In the evening there are many cheap food stalls that serve traditional Thai food by the riverside. Krabi Town has an efficient airport that connects Bangkok with daily flights and has also opened to some International destinations. Phuket is less than a 3 hour drive away. The Krabi region is thought to be one of the most beautiful and fascinating destinations in the whole of Thailand. A must is the  Wat Tham Sua, or Tiger temple ,only a few kms from the town center, which offers limestone karst cliffs over 300 meters high on top of which is a temple with a breathtaking view of the surrounding area.

A few kilometers from the town you will find ranges of cliffs overlooking the sea and spectacular mountain passes, deserted beaches or almost, caves, bays, mangroves and islets that seem to float in the middle of the sea. Koh Poda and Koh Kai islands have pristine , fine white sandy beaches. The clear coralline waters are home to many species of tropical fish...
Ao Nang bay made from small shell fragments is the starting point for all the island tours and not only.. Right on the beach there are many huts in the shade where the skilled hands of the massage experts offer Traditional Thai massage...to the tourists who ,after a long day in the sun or on a tour, can relax their tired bodies..

Don't miss: Railay,Tonsai bay, Phranang e Susaan Hoi ( that is made from shell fossils). If you rent a motorbike, you can venture off to visit Hat Nopparattara, klong Muang and Tup Kaek beaches.
From Ao nang you can also take daily tours or longtail boat trips to the islands, Koh Hong, Koh Bileh and the famous, Koh Phi Phi where Bamboo and  Mosquito  are a snorkeller's paradise...The larger islands of
Lanta and  Phuket can be reached by ferries which depart from the Nopparattara pier. Inland excursions to Emerald pool and the Hot Springs , elephant trekking in the jungle and a ride through rubber plantations, rice fields, palm oil and coconut grove plantations, bring you the real feel and sensation of this beautiful land. Monkeys are often sighted on some beaches and in the jungle and live freely in the sacred temples.

For those looking for a bit of adventure, nature and relaxation, an hour ferry ride from Krabi Town will take you to less famous islands where you will find basic comfortable accommodation ( bamboo huts and concrete bungalows) and where you will feel that you have been catapulted back in time, far from anything you would imagine or find in the western world. .Deserted beaches, enchanting bays, crystal clear waters, jungle, coconut and rubber plantations are the natural habitat for many species such as the sea eagles that circle above in the skies looking for a prey, sea turtles, armadillos, monkeys, land lizzards and hermit crabs that reach the sea at night to feed . All this for an unforgettable trip... with us..!
